CiciVPN / Getting Started
Subscriptions and Client Connections
Start by creating an account, then choose a plan, import your subscription, and verify the connection. Get one device working first, then repeat the steps on your other devices.
Create an account and save your credentials
Start by opening the account creation page in the CiciVPN user dashboard. Set a username and password, then submit the form as instructed. No email address is required. You’ll use your username to sign in, so choose one that’s easy to recognize but doesn’t reveal your identity. Use a password that you don’t use on other sites. Before submitting, check your entries carefully, especially capitalization and any extra spaces copied with your password.
After creating your account, make sure you can access the dashboard before choosing a plan. Save your username and password in a trusted password manager rather than relying on the page staying open in your browser. Since account creation doesn’t require an email address, don’t assume you’ll be able to recover your credentials by email. Saving your login details is an important step before getting started.
If you already have an account, sign in through the dashboard instead of creating another one. If nothing happens after you submit the form, check the message near the form, make sure all required fields are filled in, and confirm that the dashboard loads on your current connection. Don’t submit repeatedly or share your full password with anyone while troubleshooting. Once you can access the dashboard reliably, continue to the next step.
Choose a plan and confirm your order
Go to Plans in the dashboard and choose between a monthly subscription and a data package based on how often you use the service. Monthly plans are suited to regular use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not at the end of the calendar month. If you’re unsure how much data you need, consider how often you stream video, download files, and use multiple devices.
For occasional or unpredictable use, consider a data package: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. Data is available until used and never expires. Data packages and monthly subscriptions work differently, so read the plan details before choosing. Never-expiring data does not mean unlimited data. Unlimited devices also doesn’t mean unlimited data; keep an eye on your remaining balance when multiple devices are connected.
Once you’ve chosen a plan, check the plan name, price, and data allowance in your order, then pay as instructed on the checkout page. CiciVPN supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT; follow the payment options shown at checkout. After paying, return to the dashboard and confirm the order status and plan details before getting your subscription. If the payment page is still processing, check the existing order instead of paying again.
This service offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. See the Terms of Service for details. If you upgrade mid-term, the price difference is converted into remaining days; review the calculation shown in the dashboard before proceeding. To compare all plan details, visit the Plans and Pricing page. If you’ve made your choice, continue to the dashboard to place your order.
Get your subscription from the dashboard
Once your plan is active, open the account overview in the user dashboard. Check your current plan and remaining data, then find the subscription options. A subscription lets a client retrieve route configurations; it isn’t a login for an international website or a client installer. The dashboard may offer a link to copy or an import option for compatible clients. Use whichever option is shown.
If you plan to use one-click import, install the client in the next section first, then return to the account overview and select the import option. Your browser may ask permission to open a local app. Continue only if the app name matches the client you plan to use. If the client isn’t installed yet, nothing opening doesn’t mean your subscription is invalid: install the client and try again, or use the link import option if supported.
To use a copied link, switch to the client and paste it directly. Don’t manually remove or change any parameters in the link. Your subscription link contains account configuration credentials, so protect it like a password. Don’t share it in public chats, screenshots, or documents. Before sharing a screenshot to report an issue, hide the full subscription details and account information. When asking for help, describe the error and the steps you took instead.
If you don’t see any subscription options in the account overview, first make sure you’re signed in to the account used for payment. Then check whether the order is complete and the plan is active. Creating an account and activating a plan are separate steps; being able to sign in doesn’t mean your subscription is active. If you still have questions after checking, describe the issue through the dashboard’s support ticket page.
Import a client for your platform
Go to the downloads section in the user dashboard and choose the platform you’re using. Use the CiciVPN client and instructions provided in the dashboard; there’s no need to guess whether a third-party client is compatible. The client is available after signing in on Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux. For iOS, you need an active plan to access the download. Downloading the client doesn’t connect you by itself—you’ll still need to import the configuration and authorize the connection.
Windows: Import into the desktop client
Choose the Windows client in the downloads section and install or launch it as instructed in the dashboard. The first time you open it, make sure you’re on the client’s main screen, then look for an option such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or “Import.” If the dashboard offers a matching import button, return to the account overview, select it, and allow the browser to open the client. After importing, check that a configuration name and route list appear.
To import from a link, open subscription or configuration management in the client and choose the option to add from a link. Paste the full subscription copied from the dashboard, save it, and update the configuration. Once the route list appears, select the configuration you just added. If you’re prompted to enable the system proxy, follow the client’s instructions; simply opening the app may not change your browser’s network route. For now, avoid running other proxy tools at the same time so you can tell which settings are in use.
macOS: Installation and system permissions
Download the macOS client from the dashboard, then install and open it according to the current instructions. If macOS asks you to confirm the app’s source or connection permissions, make sure it came from the dashboard’s download section before approving it in the system prompt or settings. Don’t disable broad system protections just to launch an app, and don’t grant permissions to apps from unknown sources.
In the client, use the import-from-link option in the configuration or subscription section, or let the client handle it through the dashboard’s one-click import option. Save and update the configuration, check that the route names appear, then connect. If the connection requires additional network permissions, follow the prompts and return to the client to check the status. For a full walkthrough of installation and permissions, see Set Up a VPN on macOS from Scratch. Then continue with the connection steps here.
Android: Mobile client and connection permissions
Download the Android client from the dashboard. If Android asks you to allow app installations from this source, first confirm you’re using the file and instructions provided in the dashboard, then decide whether to allow it. After installing the client, open it and choose the link import option under Configuration, Subscription Management, or Add. Paste the link copied from the dashboard, then save and update the route list.
Select a configuration and tap Connect. Android may show a permission prompt to set up a VPN connection; check the app name before confirming. Once permission is granted, return to the client to check the connection status, then test it in your browser. If other network proxy apps are running on your device, disconnect them first to avoid conflicts. Leave advanced background settings alone for now: confirm that the app works in the foreground, then troubleshoot any specific issues you encounter.
iOS: Dashboard access and configuration permissions
First, confirm that your plan is active in the dashboard, then get the CiciVPN client from the iOS download option. If your account isn’t eligible, the dashboard will explain the plan requirements. Resolve your account status rather than downloading an app with the same name from search results. After installing the client, return to the dashboard and follow the current instructions to import your subscription. If the client supports adding from a link, you can also paste the subscription under Subscription or Configuration Management.
After importing and updating the configuration, select a route and connect. The first time you connect, iOS may ask permission to add a VPN configuration. Check the app and where the request came from, then confirm as prompted. When it’s done, return to the client to check its status instead of stopping at the system settings screen. If the import option doesn’t open the app, make sure installation is complete and your browser is allowed to open apps, then try importing the link from within the client.
Connect to a route and verify it works
After importing the configuration, choose a route that meets the target service’s regional requirements and connect in the client. For your first connection, keep the default settings and avoid changing the route, proxy mode, and system network options all at once. Visit the Global Nodes page to learn about route types, then choose an exit region that suits the service. Choose a region based on what you need to do, not just the city name or its distance from your device.
First, check that the client shows a successful connection, then reopen the target website in your browser. Existing tabs may still use the previous connection, so close the tab and visit the site again. Check not only whether the page opens but also whether its features work—for example, whether content loads, you can sign in, or an AI conversation continues to respond. A connected status in the client reflects the local connection; it doesn’t guarantee that every website will accept your current network environment.
If regular websites load but a particular service still shows a regional or account restriction, don’t rapidly switch between multiple regions. Check the service’s supported regions, account requirements, and on-screen message first, then choose an eligible exit region. Video libraries, AI tools, and other international services each have their own rules. A network connection doesn’t override those rules or guarantee access to specific content or account features.
If no websites load, disconnect the client and check whether your original network connection is working. If it is, check that the right client configuration is selected, the subscription can update, system permissions are granted, and no other proxy app is running. Change one setting at a time and test again so you can identify the cause. If the issue persists, use the Help Center to find troubleshooting steps, or submit a support ticket through the dashboard with your platform, the client’s error message, and the steps you’ve tried. Don’t include your password or full subscription link.
Once the connection works on your current device, repeat the steps on your other devices: get the client, import your subscription, authorize the connection, and check that sites load. CiciVPN supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux, with no limit on the number of devices connected at the same time. Keep the dashboard handy for subscription updates, and check your plan status and data balance as needed. To end a session, disconnect in the client and confirm your device has returned to the expected network settings.
